Message from Bonny

OUR TEAM,

At the heart of any successful organization lies a dedicated team that goes beyond the traditional roles of finance, striving to add value in every decision and process.

I am proud to acknowledge the hard work of my team, including Raluca Silvasan-Isai and JoAnn Gomez.

 

Our approach is not just about managing numbers or balancing the books—it's about strategically shaping the future of the Club. From treasury management and financial planning to accounting and member services, we are focused on enhancing the Club’s financial health, ensuring smooth operations, and ultimately delivering value to our members.

FINANCE TEAM:

 

Treasury

    • Our treasury management focuses on the management of the club’s short-term liquidity and financial risk. We liaise with our bank and some lease companies, making sure the Club has the funds for our operations, optimizing the utilization of resources including cash management, equipment lease/finance contract, bank loan etc.

 

  • Financial Planning and Analysis

    • A set of planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical activities that support the Club’s strategic decision-making, guide future business performance, and overall financial health.

 

  • Capital Expenditures

    • We manage CAPEX projects efficiently by monitoring budgets and tracking the spending on a timely basis.

 

  • Accounting

    • Our team ensures the reporting of the members and financial transactions are in compliance with regulatory standards.

 

  • Payroll

    • We process the payroll to ensure all staff receive their compensation on time.

 

  • Member Statement and Collection

    • We are transparent about member transactions and provide an accurate statement each month, including food minimum, fitness prepaid package, credit book, and gift certificate balances.

 

  • Vendor payments

    • We process all vendor invoices making sure our vendor provides the best products and services to our members.

It is also my pleasure to manage the Human Resources function this fiscal year:

  • So far, we have recruited 95 seasonal staff, 2 full-time, and 30 part-time positions.

  • In March 2024, we launched the monthly Bayview Buzz newsletter to keep our staff engaged.

  • In June 2024, our team organized a Baby Photo Match Game, which everyone enjoyed.

Our team also conducted the Employee Satisfaction Survey in July, achieving a 40% response rate. Additionally, we introduced the Employee Recognition Program, starting in July. Here are the employee spotlights receiving awards for July:


We are thrilled to announce that Jay Kucuk from the Tennis Department has been honoured with the Excellence Award! Jay’s exceptional dedication and outstanding service have not gone unnoticed, as members consistently praise his professionalism, enthusiasm, and ability to make every tennis session enjoyable. His commitment to excellence and unwavering support for our members truly set him apart.

​We are also excited to highlight Jordan Carvalho, recipient of the Rookie Star Award. Jordan, a lifeguard from our Aquatics Team, has shown exceptional initiative. His remarkable vigilance and swift action in saving a little girl demonstrate his outstanding dedication and ability to rise to the occasion. Jordan’s proactive approach and eagerness have quickly made him a valuable member of our team.​​

Recently, we hosted a Staff Summer Pool Party to celebrate and recognize the incredible teamwork and dedication our Bayview staff brings to delivering an exceptional member experience every day. A big thank you to our members for their continued support of our amazing team!
