Clubhouse Report:
FALLING INTO WINTER!
As the sun sets earlier and our days grow shorter, it is bittersweet to acknowledge that the summer of 2024 has come and gone. This season was marked by bustling activity and exciting changes at the club.
One of the highlights early in the year was the renovation of the Grill Room Lounge, a fantastic new addition to Bayview’s amenities. The lounge quickly became a popular spot, bustling with activity from 7 AM until late in the evening. It was often challenging to find a seat, especially on weekends, a testament to its success.
In late May, we also unveiled the refreshed Grill Room Patio. With the introduction of new permanent shade structures, the patio provided a welcoming and comfortable environment that was frequently occupied on pleasant weather days. These enhancements have significantly contributed to the club’s vibrant atmosphere, making this past summer one to remember.

Throughout the summer, both members and guests made the most of the warm weather, basking in the sun by the pool, sipping on refreshing cocktails, and dining leisurely in the cabana. The season concluded on a high note with a well-attended "Swimming Under the Stars" event, followed by a family-friendly movie night that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
Over the fall and winter months, the Food & Beverage department will collaborate closely with the marketing committee to streamline and refine the 2025 social calendar. Our goal is to ensure the club offers premier events that cater to the entire membership while effectively utilizing all our desired outlets.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chris Pinto, our interim Food & Beverage Outlets Manager. Chris stepped in on a one-year contract to cover for Samantha Cooper during her maternity leave. His dedication and hard work have been truly appreciated. We wish Chris all the best in his future endeavors and look forward to welcoming Samantha back in late November.
Our seasonal summer staff have once again returned to school. We appreciate all their hard work and the time they spent with us here at the club and wish them all the best with their academics. We hope to see many of them during the holiday season and back next summer. The Food & Beverage team is constantly adding new team members. Please help welcome all the new faces, and we appreciate your patience as we build up our Bayview team.
On behalf of the entire staff, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. As we transition into the fall and winter seasons, we are excited to share a lineup of upcoming events designed to bring us together and celebrate the spirit of our club. To stay informed about all the exciting happenings, please make sure to follow our weekly club communications for detailed information and updates. Thank you once again for being such an integral part of the Bayview family.

Chef's Corner:
INCREDIBLE!
Incredible – that is how I would describe the season so far at the Club. We've had many events, such as En Blanc, the Men's Invitational, Ladies' Member Guest, Champagne Open, and Pizza Open, each one a huge success. These events have truly showcased the spirit and vibrancy of our community, and it's been an honour to see our members and guests enjoying the culinary experiences we've created for them.
Our Grill restaurant has also been thriving this season. Even on Mondays and Tuesdays, it’s been sold out almost every night, a testament to the dedication and hard work of our kitchen team. This team has been pushing the boundaries of creativity, ensuring that every meal is not just a dish, but a memorable experience for our members and their guests.
I’m particularly excited to highlight the exceptional leadership in our kitchen. One of our Sous Chefs, Jayson Prades, brings a wealth of private club experience and culinary creativity that has been instrumental in elevating our offerings. Alongside Jayson, Sous Chef Anthony has also been a key figure in steering our team toward excellence. Together, Jayson and Anthony provide outstanding leadership, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and consistency in everything we do.
Another highlight of the season has been the overwhelming popularity of our new Dessert menu and Weekly Bistro menu. Members have been raving about the fresh, innovative flavors and the way we’re integrating seasonal ingredients. It's been a joy to see these menus become such a hit.
In our commitment to sustainability, we started our own herb garden this season, which has been a huge success. There’s something incredibly rewarding about picking fresh herbs and flowers from our garden to use as garnishes on our plates. It adds a personal touch that enhances the freshness and flavour of our dishes.
I can confidently say that this is one of the best kitchen teams I have ever worked with in my 30+ year career. Our team is diverse, creative, and bursting with flavours and ideas that continue to elevate our culinary standards. We are very happy to provide such a unique and special dining experience to our Bayview members, and it’s all thanks to this exceptional team and the support from our membership.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to serving you throughout the season.
